There seems to be a persistent rumor that once your book gets 50 reviews on Amazon an algorithm starts promoting it more aggressively on their site. My first novel (“In the Land of the Feathered Serpent”) has 52 reviews and I’ve not noticed any difference in its “pop-ups” or sales. Does anyone know about this alleged algorithm on Amazon?
